Bringing AI Discussions Into the Community

Conversations about Artificial Intelligence are often held in universities, labs, or big tech companies. But AI affects us all, and these conversations need to be brought closer to the people most impacted by bias. That’s why our project organizes science cafés, workshops, and events not only in academic halls but also in familiar community spaces, restaurants, cultural centers, and local associations. By meeting people where they are, we create a safe and welcoming environment to learn, question, and debate. During these events, participants don’t just listen, they experiment. From testing how biased data changes AI predictions to discussing how algorithms affect daily life, everyone gets a chance to engage directly with the technology. Our goal is simple: to turn communities from passive users of AI into active contributors who shape the future of technology. Because when everyone has a voice, AI can become more fair, transparent, and inclusive.
